About Me.

This website is an opportunity to give you a small background story about my (academic) career. Of course, this is just a fraction of who I am. Nevertheless, it gives you an idea of what value I can add to your company or organization.

I started my academic career with a bachelor's in Industrial Design Engineering. I loved this study and truly enjoyed all the skills I learned. During my bachelor's, I started and joined various associations and committees. For example, I started a podcast about the study and was chairman for two years at the association Atum.

After my bachelor's, I decided to reassess the direction I would continue in. I wanted to work abroad for a period. However, the coronavirus hit the world. As a result, I worked for the Dutch government as a source and contact researcher. Furthermore, I had two part-time jobs working for Cabiner and Sigrow.

In February 2021, I decided to continue my academic career, starting the study of Biosystems Engineering. The main reason why I switched studies was that I wanted to follow my passion for nature and agriculture, combining that with high-tech engineering. In October 2022, I moved to Italy to start my master's thesis at the Biorobotics Institute in Pisa at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.

I designed and developed an origami-based growing manipulator, which can be found in my portfolio. I finished my studies with a fruitful internship at Pixelfarming Robotics. There I learned to develop cutting-edge technologies and work at the forefront of future farming.

Currently, I am a freelancer involved in projects for several companies. Send me a message if you are interested in collaborating!
